Pilot Project

RFPD initiated the pilot project "Improvement of Maternal Health" in Northern Nigeria that was implemented between 2005 and 2010. Due to its outstanding success and its comprehensive structure this pilot project is regarded as a model to reduce maternal and newborn mortality and morbidity.
