What is an Action Group?

Rotarian Action Groups provide assistance and support to Rotary clubs and districts in planning and implementing service projects in their respective areas of expertise. They are autonomous, international groups organized by committed Rotarians, Rotarians’ spouses, and Rotaractors who have expertise in and a passion for a particular type of service.

Rotarian Action Group for Population & Sustainable Development (RFPD)

Purpose

The purpose of RFPD is to facilitate the implementation of the RI Strategic Planand the six Areas of Focus, especially ‘Maternal & Child Health’, by supporting Rotary clubs/districts to implement professional projects. RFPD assists to inform the family of Rotary worldwide on these matters. RFPD is a resource to all interested members of the Rotary family, bringing in experience and expertise in issues of population and sustainable development, including maternal and child health. RFPD contributes to the fulfillment of the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), especially MDG 4 and 5.
